The 10th International Conference on Bio-based Materials will take place on 10-11 May 2017 in Cologne, Germany. One of the biggest events in Europe: 250 participants expected!
The bioeconomy is developing well. Most investment is going to the core of the bioeconomy: bio-based building blocks and platform chemicals. The capacities show a two-digit annual growth. Based on this, new building blocks, new bio-based polymers, coatings, surfactants and others will follow. “For the conference, we were able to get the ten leading companies worldwide to Cologne – a unique opportunity to meet the pioneers in the field in one place”, says Michael Carus, Managing Director of organizer nova-Institute. In addition the latest market data and policy trends will be presented at the conference by international experts.

On the first day of the conference, the session on "Standardization, Labelling & Certification“ will bring the latest information on standards and labelling of bio-based products. Speaker Lara Dammer from nova-Institute has worked in depth on these issues in the framework of several European projects. Representatives of the leading certification systems for biomass for fuels as well as chemicals and materials, ISCC and RSB will give an update on the status of certification and future developments.
On the second day, bio-based polyamides, polyurethanes, polylactic acid and oleochemicals are the focus of the session „Oleochemicals & Bio-based Polymers“. Join us!
