International Conference on Bio-based Materials: Start-ups

++ More than 80 participants registered ++ final programme online ++ Innovation Award "Bio-based Material of the Year 2017" ++ already 21 exhibitiors ++

The 10th International Conference on Bio-based Materials will take place on 10-11 May 2017 in Cologne, Germany. One of the biggest events in Europe: 250 are participants expected!
The bioeconomy is developing well. Most investments are going to the core of the bioeconomy: bio-based building blocks and platform chemicals. The capacities show a double-digit annual growth. Based on this, new building blocks, new bio-based polymers, coatings, surfactants and other materials will follow.

“We are happy to welcome ten representatives of the worldwide leading companies in bio-based building blocks and platform chemicals as speakers at the conference in Cologne – a unique opportunity for the participants to meet the pioneers in the field in one place”, says Michael Carus, Managing Director of organizer nova-Institute. In addition the latest market data and policy trends will be presented at the conference by international experts.

A special highlight of the conference is the start-up session at the end of the second day. Experts from the advisory board and the nova-Institute selected and invited the most interesting seven start-ups from France, Italy, Latvia, USA and Germany to present their latest developments in the bio-based economy. They are looking for industrial partners and investors. Stay with us until the end of the conference and meet the start-ups after the start-up session.
